Founding Artistic Director & Season 10 Art Director - Stan Gill

Artistic Director -Susanna Wilson began her tenure as the Artistic Director of SecondStory in July of 2008. Susanna began her professional theatre career as an actor eighteen years ago, and has trod the boards of many area theatres, including ACT, Seattle Repertory, Village Theatre, Wooden O (now part of Seattle Shakespeare Company), Book-It Repertory, Theater Schmeater, Seattle Public, and the former Bathhouse and Empty Space Theatres (RIP).  Susanna is also a well-known teacher, instructing students from ages 5 to 50 through such diverse places as Kelsey Creek Homeschool, Village KIDSTAGE, Studio East, Youth Theatre Northwest, Book-It, Centrum, and Seattle Shakespeare Company. As a director, adapter, and producer, Susanna has been instrumental in bringing more than 3 dozen works to the stage for such companies as Annex, Book-It Repertory (where she has been a company member since 1993), Seattle Public Theatre (Footlight Award, Travesties),  ArtsWest, Wooden O, and Greenstage.  Prior to being appointed Artistic Director, Susanna directed SSR's Born Yesterday, Anything Goes, My Fair Lady, Pirates of Penzance, and Proof. Susanna is the proud mother of Martin Lapan.

Managing Director -Caitlin Frances started at SecondStory Repertory as the Founding Managing Director in 1999. She has an extensive background as a performer with the SecondStory Repertory Theatre Company and has also worked artistically as a Director and Stage Manager throughout her years of service.  During a brief absence from SSR Caitlin worked for Northwest Harvest as their Holiday PR and Event Manager and with Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestras as their PR/Communications Coordinator.  Caitlin also served as Managing Director for Wooden O Theatre during their last full season as an individual company.  Some notable productions you might remember seeing Caitlin in on the SecondStory Rep stage include the title role in Sylvia, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady and Gino (Harpo Marx) in A Day in Hollywood A Night in the Ukraine.  Caitlin is the proud Mother of Connor Finne.

Founding Artistic Director - Stan Gill served as Artistic Director of SecondStory Repertory for its first nine seasons. He designed and led the construction of our home in Redmond Town Center -- the seventh such theater he has created in his career. Stan acted in and directed many of SecondStory's shows in those nine years, while also being the company's principal set designer/builder and graphics designer. He also wrote and directed the shows in SSR's popular SPROUTS Children's Theatre series, while frequently performing in them. At the moment, Stan is traveling and seeing the world, making up in a big way for all the time he's put into running SecondStory.
