Final Fantasy: The Improvised
Adventures
Saturday November 24, 2012 at 9pm
Join a band of adventurers Saturday November 24 at 9
PM, who are making their way in the world by making
things up on the spot! Final Fantasy: The Improvised
Adventures tells a tale in the style of the Final
Fantasy video games, which for over 20 years have
been enriching the video game world with some of the
most epic storytelling in the medium, and now arrive
at the SecondStory Repertory stage in a brand new
show.
In the span of 80 minutes, knights, wizards, thieves
and scholars will band together in a completely
improvised tale of swords and sorcery that will
culminate in an epic struggle for the fate of the
world. The series of over a dozen video games will
be lovingly riffed upon in this parody tribute. The
experienced ensemble of actors, working with little
more than their wits and imaginations will take
ideas from the audience, and turn them into a
sidesplitting production that will be enjoyed by
both veterans of the series and complete strangers
alike.
Featuring; Lauren Bond, Joshua Downs, Ashley
Flannegan, Jana Hutchison, Eric Kostenbauder, Colin
Smith, and Rob Whitehead
Conceived and Directed by Dan Posluns

MEET
THE CAST
Lauren Bond is performing in her first show with
SecondStory, after improvising for four years with
The Collective (UW’s best and only Improv Troupe).
When not improvising Lauren can be found gaming,
cosplaying, roller derbying, baking and other nerdy
pursuits.
Joshua Downs grew up in Seattle and recently
graduated from Pepperdine with a degree in Theater
and Music. This is both his first professional
improv show and his first real job. He plans on
moving to New York soon to pursue acting, and will
miss his time in Seattle making up weird wizard
stories with grown ups.
Ashley Flannegan - Seattle theater highlights
include Quickies: Volume 13 with Live Girls
Theater!, Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog and The
Full Monty with Balagan Theatre, Even Cowgirls Get
The Blues with Book-It Repertory Theatre and The
Clean House with Island Stage Left. Ashley loves to
geek out about English History and Steven Moffat
shows, and she is grateful for her handsome husband
who geeks out right along with her. <3
Jana Hutchison is a proud ensemble member of
Unexpected Productions, home to Seattle
Theatresports. Recent improvised and scripted work
include: Team of Heroes, Final Transmission, Jaques
Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, Caged
Dolls, Cannibal!, Scarecrow for Hire, 5 Thieves,
Lovetanic, Lease and Shades of Gray. She is also an
actor and lead makeup artist for the photographic
novel Night Zero. Off stage, she is an Audiologist
that falls down a lot.

Eric Kostenbauder began his improv career
three years ago. He spends most of his life lost in
fantasy worlds, and when not questing through
mystical realms he can be found performing around
Seattle as part of the uproarious improv group,
Girls With Power Tools. This is his first show at
SecondStory and his first time writing about himself
in the third person, he hopes you enjoy both.
Colin Smith is a Seattle native who studied
theater for four years in North Carolina at Davidson
College, performing in seven productions including a
self-directed one-man show Underneath the Lintel.
Since returning to the northwest in 2007 he has been
furthering his improvisational skills as an ensemble
member of Unexpected Productions, practicing to be a
storyteller and puppeteer, and is studying to
receive his doctorate in School Psychology.
Rob Whitehead is going to be in front of you
shortly. He is a writer and improvist who was a
member (and later director) of The Collective, UW’s
improv troupe, and is a founding member of local
sketch comedy group The Pilot Episode. He will be
signing autographs and answering questions for a
very reasonable fee after the show.
The stakes are high and so is the comedy in Final
Fantasy: The Improvised Adventures!
