OUR RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Since March 17, 2020, we have been observing the mandatory closure required by the State of Washington and King County. In addition to our appreciation for the generosity of our ticket holders and theater community, we would also like to express our appreciation for the resources that have made available to us through the SBA, the City of Redmond via OneRedmond, and especially 4Culture. With a hopeful outlook for re-opening, our plan moving forward is to (all things willing) begin Season 22 in September of 2021.

As part of this plan, we hope to have tickets back on sale for Copenhagen, Runaway Bunny, and Starmites Pro by August of 2021. With our apologies, we are not able to produce The Fantasticks again in Season 22.

We will be reaching out to all subscribers and current ticket holders (we haven't heard back from) to discuss options for refunds or rescheduling. We appreciate your understanding and support in this difficult time.

COVID-19 OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES
Here at SecondStory Repertory your safety and the well-being of the artists we work with is our top priority. We wanted to take this opportunity to share the new rules that have been put in place by government officials and outline the steps we are taking as we move forward with our productions of The Fantasticks and The Fluffy Tale of Adventure.

By order of the King County Health Officer: Public events with fewer than 250 attendees are prohibited, unless event organizers can take steps to minimize risk. Event organizers must ensure that:

Older and vulnerable individuals have been encouraged not to attend
-
We are contacting all current ticket holders to encourage them to stay home if they are part of a high risk group or are feeling unwell.
-
Ticket exchanges and refunds are always readily available and will continue to be so.
-
We are taking ticket sales offline so that anyone looking to purchase tickets must contact the SSR box office directly at 425-881-6777 (Tuesday-Saturday 2pm to 6pm) in order for us to discourage attendance for older and vulnerable individuals as required.
Recommendations for social distancing and limiting close contact are met
-
We are strategically limiting ticket sales (29% capacity) and only seating every other row in order to meet the stringent social distancing requirements.
Employees or volunteers leading an event are screened for symptoms each day
-
We have created a sign in sheet for everyone involved in the productions and have included boxes for the required symptom screening.
-
Everyone involved in the productions have been encouraged to contact us directly via email or phone if symptoms develop.
Proper hand washing, sanitation, and cleaning is readily available
-
Soap and water are readily available in the restrooms.
-
Tissues will be made available in the lobby.
-
We are currently unable to obtain Hand Sanitizer due to local shortages so we encourage patrons to bring their own.
Environmental cleaning guidelines are followed (e.g., clean and disinfect high touch surfaces daily or more frequently)
-
Since SSR does not use a cleaning service, we are attending to the cleaning requirements personally.
-
Prior to each show we will be disinfecting the lobby and our restrooms including all door handles, bar surfaces, and railings as required.
If you are interested in additional steps you can take personally to increase your safety and the safety of those around you, there are multiple internet resources available.
This is a dynamic, quickly changing situation. As circumstances change, we will continue to communicate with you via email, social media posts, and our website. As always, please contact us at 425-881-6777 if you have any additional questions or concerns.
