Buddy Mahoney (George) is honored to be back at SSR in this great show that he's been hoping to do since he first heard of it. He has been seen at SSR as Amos in "Chicago," as Max in "Laughter on the 23rd Floor" and as Mr. Cladwell in "Urinetown." He just wrapped production as Norman Bulansky in STAGEright Theater's production of "The Boys Next Door." Seattle audiences have seen him onstage in "A Tuna Christmas" at ArtsWest and Burien Little Theater, "Is He Dead" and "Twilight Zones Live" at Theater Schmeater, "The Mystery of Irma Vep" at Renton Civic and as Roger De Bris in "The Producers" at SMT. Bradetta Vines (Charlotte) is thrilled to making her SecondStory Repertory debut. Favorite roles include Thelma Cates in ‘Night Mother, Emma Goldman in Assassins Mama Morton in Chicago, Kathy in The Last Five Years, and the title role in The Drowsy Chaperon. Bradetta will be seen this summer in Songs For A New World at Redhouse Arts Center in Syracuse, NY. She is a produced playwright with the hopes of one day achieving every playwright’s dream – a published monologue in a monologue book. Bradetta would like to thank SSR for this amazing opportunity, her cast and her friends Doug and Frank and her wonderful family, Tammi, Cassie, Alix, Teya, for their continuous love and support.

Sara Trowbridge (Roz) is delighted to return to the SecondStory main stage, and to work with a stellar cast and crew. A Pacific Northwest theater veteran, she was last seen at SSR's Sprouts production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Other favorite past roles include Jane Banbury in Fallen Angels at Theater Schmeater, Annie in Misery at SecondStory Repertory, and Bess in Abundance at the Edge of the World. She would like to send special thanks to her incredible support system team, without whom she would not have been able to move forward with her Year of Change. Jana Gueck (Eileen) is delighted to work on her first production at SecondStory Repertory. Recent roles have been “Aunt Martha” Owen Meany’s Christmas Pageant (Book-It Repertory), “Patty Simcox” Grease (Renton Civic Theatre), “Grace,” Cinderella (Snoqualmie Falls Forest Theatre), she has also been on the set of Dead of Night as “Teresa” (Investigation Discovery), and Human Nature as “Eve.” Jana graduated from Western Washington University with a BA in Theater Arts in 2010 and works as a teacher at Applause Studio.

Doug Knoop (Richard) is delighted to make his debut with SSR. Last fall he directed "night mother" for his production company, KTO Productions. Earlier in 2012 he performed with the Snohomish Theatre Project and the Phoenix Theatre. Prior to that, he played Finbar in "The Weir," performed in "Brigadoon" for Snoqualmie Falls Forest Theatre, "Run for Your Wife" for Renton and Bellevue Civic Theatres, "West" for Breeders Theater and "The Drowsy Chaperone" and "Chicago" for Seattle Musical Theatre. Thanks to Rick, Mark, Jen and this wonderful cast and crew.

Isaiah Crowson (Howard) began his theatrical career over a decade ago and is wicked excited to be appearing on the SSR Stage yet again! Isaiah has performed in theaters all over the Pacific Northwest, even appearing in the pilot episode of Untethered. You may have seen him in such roles as Bud/Pan

Pat Haines-Ainsworth (Ethel) appeared most recently as Arlene last month in “Next Fall” at ArtsWest. Earlier this season she appeared on the SecondStory stage as Pig in “Duck For President”. Her adaptation of the Ant and the Grasshopper, titled Bayou Bug Tales, is scheduled for production in spring of 2014 here at SecondStory. Thank you my family for their love and patience.

Rick Wright (Director) has been involved with Theater in the Puget Sound area for over thirty-five years. He has directed shows for several theaters in the North Seattle area including the Camwood Players, Off the Wall, Sky Performing Arts, and for the Everett Theatre Players. He spent 3 years teaching technical theater to high school students. Next year he is slated to direct Keely and Du for SSR. He is currently a resident director at the Phoenix Theatre in Edmonds.

Alicia Mendez (Assistant Director) is excited to be part of this hilarious production. She is pleased to say that Moon Over Buffalo is the end of her 7 year hiatus from directing. She wants to thank Mark, Jen and Rick for inviting her in as an assistant director and occasionally letting her feel like she's in charge. Next Alicia is taking the position of Artistic Director of the Stroum Jewish Community Center's summer performance arts camp and playing Frau Blucher in Young Frankenstein at Burien Little Theater.

Jocelyne Fowler (Costume Designer) has designed for Book-It Repertory Theatre (Anna Karenina, Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet and Owen Meany’s Christmas Pageant), Seattle Musical Theatre (Legally Blonde), Vashon Opera (Eugene Onegin), Youth Theatre Northwest (Little Women, The Sound of Music, Cinderella: Rockin’ the ‘80s, The Crucible, and The Who’s Tommy ), Harlequin Productions (Gloucester Blue, The Americans Across the Street, and A Christmas Survival Guide), Theatre 912 (Everything in the Garden, Jason and Medea and The Cherry Orchard), SecondStory Repertory (Zombie Prom, The Dancing Princess, The Princess and the Pea and Children of Eden), ReAct Theatre (Driving Miss Daisy, A Language of Their Own and Yellow Face), Live Girls (Quickies 13and Emerald City), Ghostlight Theatricals (Freak Storm and Hedda), and Seattle Pacific University (Much Ado About Nothing). Kim Moore (Stage Manager) is excited for her first SSR production. Previous she has worked at SMT including ASM for Scrooge the Musical and props for Altar Boyz. She would like to thank her family and friends for all their support. And her roommates Lo, Jesse and Tay for being awesome.

Jen Chenovick (Light Design) Jen's theatrical career began in 2002 when she was asked to assistant stage manage The Importance of Being Ernest right here at SSR. Following her passion for theater Jen moved to Hollywood in 2005 where she stage managed for The Blank Theatre including the oddly satisfying Lobster Alice starring Noah Wylie and Nicholas Brendon. While in California, she also worked with Syzygy Theatre Group and the World Premiere of Tender, Abi Morgan’s trenchant drama of the human hunger for connection. Jen moved back to Redmond in 2007 and jumped right back into her work with SSR. During her eighteen plus years at SSR Jen has worn many hats, from stage manager to production manager to managing director and now light design. Special thanks to my parents, they’re pretty cool.

Mark Chenovick (Set Design/Technical Director) has been designing, building, and painting sets since the mid-eighties. Having the fortune to begin his theatrical career under the tutelage of Don McLaughlin in his hometown of Helena Montana, Mark continued his training at the University of Washington where he was accepted into the Graduate Design Seminar his sophomore year. With subsequent degrees in Art History and Drama, Mark went on to serve as technical director/designer for multiple organizations including: Virginia Musical Theatre, Fort Peck Summer Theatre, the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, Little Theater of the Rockies, and the Norfolk Governor’s School for the Arts. As Technical Director/Production Manager of the national tour of Anything Goes (starring Gloria Loring) Mark travelled around the United States and Canada realizing that there is no place quite as wonderful as the Pacific Northwest. Shortly after the turn of the millennium, and following a brief stint as a carpenter at The Studio Theatre in Washington D.C., he moved back to Seattle. Locally he has worked behind the scenes for the Village Theatre, Seattle Musical Theatre, Redwood Theatre, and, of course, SecondStory Repertory.


Mark Chenovick (Sound Design) I began my sound design journey splicing reel-to-reel tape together in the basement of the original Penthouse Theater on the University of Washington campus but it was my brief time in the MFA program at Utah State University, where I learned the joys of digital sound design, and subsequently, became hooked on sound design for life. Having provided composed and curated underscoring and soundscaping, original and sourced sound effects, and performance amplification services for multiple theaters across the US, I have felt the most at home at SSR.
