HURRICANE DIANEby Madeleine George
Directed by Elizabeth Tanner
What happens when the Greek god Dionysus returns to Earth disguised as a butch, swaggering landscape architect named Diane? He heads straight to a quiet, manicured cul-de-sac in New Jersey, determined to seduce four status-conscious housewives into abandoning their chemical lawns for a permaculture revolution to avert an ecological crisis. This devastatingly funny environmental comedy blends ancient mythology with The Real Housewives, using blistering satire to contrast the comforting illusions of suburban life with the terrifying, inevitable fury of a changing natural world.
