THE MUSICAL ADVENTURES OF FLAT STANLEY

Book by Timothy Allen McDonald
Lyrics by Timothy Allen McDonald & Jonathan K. Waller
Music by Timothy Allen McDonald, Jonathan K. Waller, David Weinstein, & Stephen Gabriel
Based on the book "Flat Stanley" by Jeff Brown

Stanley Lambchop is your ordinary, everyday, run-of-the-mill, ten-year-old: normal mom and dad, normal little brother, normal life. That's just the problem... for Stanley, life is too normal. He wants to travel the world, do something amazing, something no one's ever seen before. Careful what you wish for, Stanley! One night, the bulletin board on the wall above Stanley's bed comes loose and falls – right on top of Stanley! The next morning, Stanley Lambchop wakes up flat. Not just a little flat... really, REALLY flat! In a whirlwind musical travelogue, Stanley – the ultimate exchange student – scours the globe for a solution to his unusual problem. He's stamped, posted and cancelled from Hollywood and France to Honolulu and beyond. And, whether he's thwarting a robbery at the Louvre Museum in Paris, or "hanging ten" off the coast of Hawaii, Stanley is closing in on his goal of being a three-dimensional boy once more. PRODUCTION BIOGRAPHIES

David Bailey (Mr Lambchop) is excited to be back for another show for SSR's young audiences! You may remember him from previous shows: 'Treasure Island', 'Stuart Little' or, most recently, 'A Christmas Carol'. David works as both an actor and director at theaters around the North Sound/Lake Washington curve, ranging from Redmond, to Edmonds, to Marysville. Thank you for your ongoing support of live theater in the Northwest! And thank you for allowing us to be a part your child's life!

Sara Trowbridge (Mrs. Lambchop) has always wished that she could be sent to far off exotic locations via mail, and is absolutely tickled that she can explore this dream with SSR. She is a Pacific Northwest theater veteran, and was last seen here on the mainstage as Anna in Closer, and on the TYA stage as Turtle in A Year With Frog and Toad. Other favorite roles include Belinda in Noises Off (SecondStory Repertory), Sissy in the world premier musical The Hours of Life (Theatre22), God in Wild Party (Sound Theatre Company), and Jane Banbury in Fallen Angels (Theater Schmeater).

Jelani Kee (Arthur) is overjoyed to be back on the SecondStory TYA stage. Last seen in Cat in the Hat, Jelani has had the opportunity to work with theaters in the Seattle area like Village Theatre, ArtsWest, Taproot and a few others. He would like to thank his parents, family, and friends for all of their love and support.
